Broadcom BCM5221 Single-Port RMII 10/100BASE-TX Transceiver

Broadcom BCM5221 Single-Port RMII 10/100BASE-TX Transceivers feature an integrated voltage regulator and can be supplied by a 2.5V or 3.3V power source. The BCM5221 series offers low-power Fast Ethernet PHY and incorporates several intelligent power management features, including three low-power modes with varying levels of power dissipation. These devices are capable of powering down when not connected to the network, making them ideal for power-sensitive applications, including portable computer LOMs and PCMCIA/CardBus cards. Broadcom BCM5221 Single-Port RMII 10/100BASE-TX Transceivers can also be set to periodically power up at user-defined intervals, allowing the system to initiate "keep-alive" traffic on the network. For the lowest power consumption, the modules can be put in apower-off state (<2.5mW).
